Matcha is Japanese green tea turned into powder. It is the foundation for the Japanese Tea ceremony and an important symbol in the culture. 🍃
To make our Organic Matcha, farmers harvest shade-grown gyokuro leaves, remove their stems, and then stone grind them to a fine powder. Matcha is versatile, in that you can use it in various ways: as a matcha latte, in smoothies, baking, on cereal, or simply whisked with water!
The best part about matcha is that you are consuming the entire tea leaf, which means the highest levels of caffeine and antioxidants of all tea types! 💯 -
Per cup: 1 ½ tsp 70°C whisk for 15 seconds
Sift 1.5 tsp of matcha into a small bowl. Whisk with a small amount of water. Once mixed, add 100ml more water and whisk in a "W" shape to form a froth. Sit, take your time, take in your surroundings and enjoy.
